Now that the Saharan sandstorms are done delaying things it looks like hurricane season is starting to kick off properly. The NOAA recently reaffirmed that this year's hurricane season is on track to be an above average year. And looking at the 48 hour forecast for the Atlantic we could be looking at the start.
In the Caribbean we have a low pressure system that over the past couple days has strengthened and is likely to become a tropical storm within the next 48 hours. In addition, we have an even likelier candidate making its way across the Atlantic which should also become a tropical storm within the next 48 hours.
